Welcome to the new 406Cirque website! 🎉🎉

Circus Arts for Schools

A large group of children and a few adults smile and wave at an outdoor event, standing around a big red ball on mats. Colorful streamers hang above them and a brick building is in the background.

406Cirque brings age-appropriate circus arts programming directly to schools—combining movement, creativity, physical awareness and coordination in a format that engages students and supports educational goals.

Programs can be presented as assemblies, workshops, residencies, or integrated classroom experiences.

What We Offer

Residencies & Multi-Day Programs

406Cirque offers short-term and multi-week residencies that allow students to build skills over time and explore creativity through movement and performance. Residencies with more than 3 sessions may include a student showcase.

Shows for School Assemblies

High-energy, visually engaging circus performances designed to inspire curiosity, focus, and joy. Assemblies can be tailored by grade level and include short educational components such as storytelling, risk awareness, or creative process.

Artist Talk: Clowning, Courage, and Connection

An interactive talk designed for student assemblies or classroom settings, exploring contemporary clowning as a practice rooted in vulnerability, bravery, and presence. Drawing from 406Cirque’s international work in refugee camps and cross-cultural collaborations, the talk highlights laughter as a universal language and performance as a tool for connection, resilience, and empathy. The format is accessible, reflective, and age-appropriate, with space for questions and dialogue.

Educational Value

406Cirque school programs support:

  • Physical awareness and coordination
  • Focus, self-regulation, and perseverance
  • Creative thinking and embodied learning
  • Collaboration and respect for shared space

Programs are adaptable to align with physical education, arts integration, or enrichment goals.

Age Ranges

All content is age-appropriate and clearly structured for:

  • Elementary
  • Middle School
  • High School

Programs can be scaled and adapted to support accessibility, ensuring meaningful participation across a range of physical abilities, learning needs, and school environments.

Students who utilize a one-on-one support person in the classroom would similarly benefit from that support during circus activities to ensure safety, clarity, and meaningful participation.
